About Us

Since 2014, the Lehi Historical Society and Archives has been putting on Lehi Heritage Day not only to celebrate Lehi’s remarkable past, but also to honor those making history today. With a parade, honoree celebration, exhibits and activities, yummy food and a classic car and bike show, the day has grown into a much anticipated, and greatly appreciated, Lehi event.

Our Founder

Lehi Heritage Day is the brainchild of John Knollin Haws, founder of the Lehi Historical Society and Archives. His goal was to share Lehi’s beautiful past as well as celebrate those living persons who have done so much to make Lehi the great place it is today.

In 2012, Haws was a man with a dream. Armed with four boxes of history from Lehi historian, Richard Van Wagoner, and thousands of items he had collected throughout his life, Haws formed the Friends of the Archives, the historical society, with the help of Judy Hansen, Rhea Lewis, Lynette Harris and Mike Southwick. The first Lehi Heritage Day came to fruition in 2016.
